AdventureTravel.tv sold for $700 on SEDO
WVtv.org sold for $2300 on SEDO
LLTV is one of our favorite categories of domains. All 676 LLtv in com/net/org are taken. Sometimes a few drop and we usually pick them up before anyone else.
Recently we picked up WStv.org, RHtv.net and XQtv.net. The absolute best buy we made in January was 14tv.com, $10 on Godaddy auctions. All 100 NNtv.com have been regged and we have seen sales in the X,xxx range. I could not believe it was overlooked. The name gets traffic just like the LLtv net and org do. One LLtv.net we own got a $16 click this month. We do not know why and could not believe it. Most LLtv from a domaining standpoint will easily pay for themselves. They are great for your own YouTube Channel brand or to build a standalone website.

First off let me state that of course there were regs of Geo.tv before George Pickering entered the scene. But there was not a lot of interest or any Geo.tv boom. I remember posting the 50 US States and their premium fee, No one posted. Bumped it later because some got regged and some premiums changed, no one posted again.
Then came George Pickering and his purchase of Myrtle Beach.tv for $16,000 and change. He announced it here: MyrtleBeach.tv purchased. That was March of 2007. Here we are 3 years later and Mr. Pickering has confirmed to us that he has liquidated his Geo.tv portfolio except for 3 local geo.tv domains.
Mr Pickering explained that his reasons for selling were three fold.
1) To focus on his core business
2) Because he believes he can accomplish what he wants to with the professional .tv domains his company owns.
3) Because we made money.
He added he did not believe you could launch a nationwide Geo.tv network without laser focus, and taking investment money.
He believes the way to go is to own a local geo.tv where you live and develop that if you feel the need to be involved in geo.tv. That is why he held onto NorthernVirginia.tv, Arlington.tv, and Fredericksburg.tv.
He did not give exact sales figures but stated he made over $50,000 selling his geo.tv domains.
George Pickering is the founder and CEO of Local Experts.com.

As we told you a few days ago Dynadot lowered pricing on .tv to $12.99. Name.com lowered their price to $14.99. Now EnomCentral has lowered their price to $12.99. But only for certain customers, some received emails offering $12.99, some $19.99 and even some at $7.99 according to one post on Namepros.com.

First off let me state this is my opinion and I am not stating the following as a fact.
I know a lot of people believe a rising tide lifts all boats in domaining. I do not share that opinion. I believe each name is unique and that each has its own opportunities. For whatever reason people compare domains to stocks. WRONG. Only I own everything.tv, everyone can own shares of Google.
Now when an analyst writes a recommendation on one stock in an industry, let's say software, the rest of the group will usually move in unison with the featured stock. If Goldman Sachs upgrades Oracle (ORCL) most other stocks in the software sector will move up unless they have individual news of their own in the negative. Or if the analyst believes Oracle will gain at say SAP's expense. This is not true for domains. When RT.tv sold for $62,500 that did not make the value of every LL.tv go up. In the premium space there are many things to consider. RT.tv my good friend JohnTV lucked out and got for $125 per year on a glitch. RE.tv is a $30,000 a year premium fee. So RT.tv means nothing to RE.tv and the other 674 LL.tv.
The next area of getting people riled up and debating is the who is using .tv. I think its nice to see greater adoption. But I never thought it increased my portfolio value. They are a business making money, not just sitting owning some names and hoping for an offer. They are doing business the domain is just the extension they are using. I will bet no company using .tv that is on a big scale has the love or passion for the extension that a domainer does. If it makes sense they use the name.
At the end of the day its about YOU. Your success in .tv will not come from TNT using .tv or Justin.tv or if Chef Patrick builds out TampaBay.tv. Its about you and what ideas you have. Will you become a developer ? Will you seek out logical users for the .tv you own ? Do you know why the name is valuable ? Sounding cool is not a good answer for that.
We are not all on the same team or in the same boat. People may share a common interest and can help one another but its on you for your success. I got no part of JohnTV's $62,500 (nor should I) it did not help me sell anything, it did nothing except be a good feeling for a fellow .tv investor. That is good on a human level and needed in a balanced life IMO. But it does not pay the rent.
Thinking someone using .tv means your portfolio is going up is like, living on a street with an entrepreneur who had his start up go public. Just because you live next door means nothing in your professional life, he is doing something and you are watching him.
Get going with your best idea and best of luck.
